Makes it all better...

Anika has not been very nice these last couple of days... she has been EXTREMELY fussy. But she gave me something nice too :) She laughed at me!!! Best sound in the world right now. I'm sure hearing her say "ma ma" and "I love you" will be so much better but I love to hear her laugh. The first time I knew it was her laugh I thought my heart was going to explode. I was singing Wannabe by the Spice Girls (don't know how I got that stuck in my head but she laughed!) to her and moving her hands to the beat and she let out the sweetest laugh I have ever heard. When I explained how it sounded to my husband he called it a Beavis and Butthead laugh, but it is so much cuter than that. The second that sound escaped her lips my entire body became warm and my heart swelled to the point where I didn't even feel like I could breathe. I wanted to cry and laugh and give her all the hugs and kisses in the world. When I had my husband rush in to listen she was already done laughing and wasn't going to do it again. She has laughed before but those only lasted a second, yesterday she was laughing because she thinks her mommy is so funny :) Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. Seeing her giant toothless grin makes all of her fussy moments fade into the past. So March 22nd 2010 was her first laugh!

That picture may be fuzzy but it is so cute!

Getting Started...

So I've decided to start a blog... I can never seem to remember things that have happened so what better way to remember then to write them down. Or in this case, type it out. Well I have had this up for about 3 hours now, I have typed and then always deleted. I don't really know how to start.

I met my husband, Gabe, for the first time summer of 2006 when I was 16 and he was 21. We just worked together and would talk on lunches and breaks even though our schedules were completely opposite we saw each other at least once a week. We went on our first date January 3rd 2007. We saw The Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith. That was also the first time he kissed me. We were both so nervous... We hung out every chance that we got, which wasn't very often, but we talked on the phone every second that we had... good thing I had unlimited minutes. He finally met my parents on Christmas and Christmas Eve. on 2007. He always wanted to meet them but didn't have a chance to until then. The next milestone in our relationship was moving in together. On July 25th 2008 we spent the first night in our apartment together. We both loved the apartment and spending time together each day. February 2009 we went to Indiana to visit his family and within 12 hours of being there I decided that it was were I wanted to live. I love the small town! On April 12, 2009 we conceived the greatest gift ever! About a week after I actually became pregnant we went to planned parenthood because I just knew I was pregnant. They did a test, it came back negative, but it was too early to tell. So a week later I took a test at home, positive! When I was 6 weeks pregnant we went to get an ultrasound to date the pregnancy, we saw the little flicker on the screen, it was the heartbeat! We always knew that we wanted to have children, we wanted one too much to even wait and became pregnant on the first try! I thought that I was pregnant the month before because my period was two weeks late but it was just late from being so stressed out from the move. We then moved to Indiana at the end of May. At 22 weeks pregnant we had another ultrasound so that they could get all of her measurements and find out the sex of the baby. Well it was a girl :) At my next doctors appointment we discussed the ultrasound with my doctor, her head had measured smaller then the rest of her body and we needed to have another ultrasound to make sure everything was okay. So at 26 weeks we went back for another ultrasound. The ultrasound technician was so wonderful. Telling us everything she was doing and pointing out all of the body parts. It turns out that her head was fine, they just got inaccurate measurements during the first ultrasound. But our daughter was beautiful. We then went to Colorado for my baby shower! Many of my friends showed up, we decorated onesies, they all turned out great! We moved back to Colorado then because I wanted to be near my family for Anika's birth. Gabe and I have always wanted to be married. Within two months of dating we had already decided that one day we would be married. We even picked out our kids names. Well on November 16, 2009 we went to get out marriage license. We were so excited and couldn't wait to finally be husband and wife. We called around to many different places to find someone who had an opening to marry us. No one even answered their phone. The next day we got a hold of one judge (finally!) and she had an opening that day. It was so unexpected but we had no luck with finding anyone else that had openings so we decided to get married that day! So on November 17th 2009 I became Mrs. McKeever! We were so happy to finally be married! We celebrated with Red Robin, not very romantic but I was pregnant and craving some clucks and fries! Finally on December 31st 2009 our daughter came into the world! I will write her birth story later. I had missed Indiana the entire time that I was living in Colorado. I was afraid of what everyone would think of me for wanting to leave again so I tried to forget about living there. But I wanted to be happy so we moved back to Indiana. The car ride was VERY long. It's not easy driving 1200 miles with an 8 week old. The drive that usually takes 19 hours took 42. But now we are living in Indiana and happy!
