A love poem

We've gotten too close to leave it all behind,
for there must be a reason our paths intertwined.
Converging and coming together are we.
To find something special just for you and me.
But long is the journey and high is the cost.
There's so much to gain and so much to be lost.
Tall are the walls that will stand in our way.
I'll help you climb over them everyday.
For I had walls too once, which you tore apart.
You sweetly snuck in and ran off with my heart.
For now we're best friends and we'll weather this till,
We can truly be one, and our hearts we'll fulfill.
Till then your my treasure I keep locked inside,
as I will be yours till we don't have to hide
And then I can look you in your eyes and say,
I love you, I have from the very first day.

My husband wrote this for me when we were dating. Unfortunately I can't remember when, but I think it was in 2007. I get very scared when I receive a compliment, I always have. I don't know what to say so when someone gives me something nice either. So when I got this poem I was very scared. But at the same time, I was so happy. I love him so much! He is such an amazing man.

Recent Pictures!

Time to get regular!

I need to start writing posts a little more often! Lets see... How about a little update about the last 2 weeks.

Anika rolled over once, on Easter! But has not done it since... According to the scale at home she weighs about 14 lbs 10 oz! She is getting so big. We got some professional pictures taken through sears portrait. I am not very happy with how they turned out though. The photographer was awful. Rushed us through the whole thing. Oh well...

Since April 1 my husband and I have been dog sitting for a family member, and while I do not enjoy taking care of dogs at all, I have enjoyed the house to ourselves and being able to cook in the kitchen whenever I want! I have loved cooking a fresh meal every night for dinner, and I'm sure my husband has enjoyed the breakfast every morning. This morning I made an omelet! I don't eat eggs but he said it was 'awesome'!

Gabe applied for a better job on April 7th! I really really hope he gets it. It would make our lives so much better! If we continued to live with his parents for the next year then we would be able to pay off his car and our last credit card! Which is pretty amazing considering that those loans combined are over $15000.

So hopefully next time I mention Gabe's work situation it will be that he received the job and we are on our way to becoming debt free!

I will be flying out to Colorado in June hopefully to visit my family! Anika has grown so much since the last time they saw her in February. I'm so excited to see them again!
